New Film - Maratus

I'm a Canberra filmmaker and have just completed a documentary about the discovery of a new species of peacock spider in Namadgi National Park.

I am getting in contact to invite you to the upcoming premiere - see below - and in the hope that you might be able to share the details with your network.

Kind regards,

MARATUS: a documystery
WORLD PREMIERE as part of Stronger Than Fiction Documentary Film Festival
Sunday 2nd August, 12noon
Palace Electric Cinemas, New Acton

Maratus tells a remarkable story of citizen science and discovery on Canberra's doorstep. When a Canberra garbage collector took a photo of a tiny colourful spider in Namadgi National Park he had no idea how it would change his life. Scientists saw the photo and explained it was a species unknown to science. All he had to do was go back and find it and there began an epic three-year search. Watch the trailer here.

Maratus Facebook page here.
