General Meeting - Earless Dragon Project - Nov 15
Date: 15-Nov-2018, 8 pm, Uniting Church Hall, 56 Scrivener St, O'ConnorInvited Speaker: Emily Stringer
Emily was sponsored by NPA ACT during her Honours year to investigate the viability of Earless Dragons in the ACT.
Emily Stringer is a Canberra local who’s interests lie in data analysis, ecology and environmental management. She is currently completing her Honours project directed towards the analysis of population surveys of grassland earless dragons. Her interest in those surveys is twofold: to test the use of natural burrow surveys as a tool for detecting and monitoring the dragons and to test for population trends in the long-term (artificial burrow) data collected by members of the ACT Government and allied entities. She will report on that work and on the implications of her results for future monitoring of the species.
